While doing the previous series on animals, I was reminded and inspired by one of my favorite drawings, Eagle Claw.  This was a drawing that I complete during spring break of my sophomore year of college.  I was teaching art to some middle school kids at a Mennonite school for orphans.  They didn't have a regular art class, as the teaching staff was limited.  This spring break opportunity for them was an inspiration to them and to me.  We were discussing the concepts of shadows and light.  We would take walks in nature to look at the trees and fences to see how the light changed the way they looked throughout the day.
