This painting is my first.  I saw the Santa Cruz, CA lighthouse from this side (harbor view) while sailing on the Chardonnay (a 70' yacht which offers fabulous wine and cheese sunset cruises).  However, I miss the Connecticut shore.  Thus, I bended the two.  The setting I put this lighthouse into is more similar to the setting of the Old Saybrook lighthouse in Connecticut.  This is the point of light that raises funds for cleaning up the Long Island Sound using the license plate foundation program.
